A friend of mine mentioned he was starting to play Magic: The Gathering and was going to go buy cards. So I said hold up, we have at least a thousand at home. So then I went home and asked my Gramma (she’s the one who collected the most). And she said sure, but let’s make sure there aren’t any expensive ones in there. So then she made me a business deal: I help her sell them and I get half the profits.
I already found 3 each of Underground Sea, Tundra, Scrubland, and Savannah; 1 each of Plateau, Tropical Island, and Bayou; and 4 Volcanic Island.
All of them are in Mint or Near Mint condition as she put them in sleeves right away. They are worth on average at least $80-100 apiece if I can sell them…. that’s about $1000 for my half for just those 19 cards….. So anyone want to buy one? Feel free to message me and I’ll be getting them on ebay soon.
Also all of the cards are from Revised Edition. My Gramma stopped collecting in 1999.
EDIT: I got the number of each wrong and found a few others. I rewrote the above list. Prices are approximate, my Gramma has the last say, but this is what my research shows for Mint/Near Mint for the Revised Edition of these:
